Donald Trump fired a shot at potential Republican primary opponent Mitt
Romney by claiming that he won the battle of net worth. “I’m a much
bigger businessman and have a much, much bigger net worth,” Trump said Monday . “I mean my net worth is many, many, many times Mitt Romney.”
Trump called Romney “basically a small-business guy.” “He was a hedge
fund. He was a funds guy,” he said. “He walked away with some money from
a very good company that he didn’t create. He worked there, he didn’t
create it.” Forbes recently estimated Trump’s worth at $2.7 billion. In
2007, Romney, the former governor of Massachusetts, disclosed that he
was worth between $190 and $250 million. His campaign did not respond to
