National hospital operator HCA has closed on its purchase of Coconut Grove’s Mercy Hospital, which will become a satellite campus of HCA’s Plantation General Hospital under its new ownership. The 473-bed facility is the 13th in HCA’s East Florida Division portfolio, which also includes 12 outpatient surgery centers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but HCA said the facility will still be a Catholic acute care hospital, officially called “Mercy Hospital — A campus of Plantation General Hospital.” [Miami Herald]
