Oklahoma City Thunder star buys Miami pad

Is Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant setting his sights on Miami? A company affiliated with the NBA’s leading scorer recently plunked down $1.825 million for a 3,535-square-foot condominium at 900 Biscayne Bay, just down the road from the American Airlines Arena that the Miami Heat call home. The 900 Brickell building, which was developed by Terra Group in 2008, is nearly sold out. Thunder fans needn’t worry for now, because Durant signed a contract extension with the team last summer. But since the Thunder only play one regular season game per year in Miami, the South Florida Business Journal speculates that perhaps Durant merely wants to live nearby the many other NBA stars who call South Florida home.
