Fort Lauderdale’s 110 Tower has received LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, making it the only LEED-certified multi-tenant high-rise office tower in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, owner Genesis Capital Partners said today. Among the latest eco-friendly features of the property: an Energy Star score of 86, which puts it in the top 14 percent of buildings nationwide and allows it to save upwards of $198,000 in utility bills per year; a reflective roof with a 8,798-square-foot garden and a new water efficiency program with plumbing retrofits. The upgrades are part of a $15 million renovation program that also will update the lobby and common areas and building mechanical systems. TRD
