A bankruptcy trustee has sold the home of Ponzi schemer Nevin Shapiro
for $5.74 million, although the number is nowhere close to the figure of
$900 million of which he admitted defrauding investors. Shapiro, who is
the founder and president of Capitol Investments, which is based in
Miami Beach, was charged in April 2010 with setting up the scheme,
pleading guilty in November. [SFBJ]
