Crowds overwhelm Stern hearings

The case management hearings on David Stern’s foreclosures have drawn so
many crowds that Judge Peter Blanc has ordered a video feed to be set
up outside the courtroom in Palm Beach County Circuit Court. “A pleasant
court staffer politely informed us that the courtroom was ‘too
crowded,’ and directed us to another courtroom if we wished to observe
foreclosure proceedings,” said homeowner advocate Lisa Epstein. After
Stern’s firm was shut down in March, almost 9,000 foreclosures were left
in an unresolved state. [Palm
