The Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay has completed a $31 million renovation,
after a two-year process that gave an entirely new look to Miami’s only
marina-front hotel. The face of the overhaul is a new lobby with pod
seating, LCD televisions and an Espressamente Illy cafe. “Our guests are
thrilled with the renovation,” said hotel general manager Barbara
Ready. “From the moment they walk into the stylish, sophisticated lobby,
to the beautifully appointed guests rooms, spectacular views, al fresco
dining and the redesigned and expanded meeting facilities, the hotel is
getting rave reviews.” The changes are part of a new plan for
Marriott’s hotels worldwide. More than $17 million of the funds were
spent on updating the hotel’s 600 guests rooms. TRD
