Boynton Beach’s Schoolhouse Children’s Museum is closing for renovations until June 4. The project, which will be its first major rehab in 10 years, will also prepare the building for hurricane season, replacing flooring and installing hurricane-impact doors and windows. The city-owned building, which was built in 1913 and restored in 2001 when the museum opened, will draw upon a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the upgrades.
