New plans for Boca Del Mar

Siemens Group has submitted new plans for development on the site of the
former Mizner Trail golf course, subject to county approval. According
to Richard Siemens, president of the company, it has withdrawn its
previous plan for 390 homes on the 130-acre site, and is now looking at
a smaller plan that would build 291 homes. A group of local residents,
however, is opposed to the project. “Our position will remain the same,”
said Rosemary Nixon, leader of the Second Coalition Against Mizner
Development. “There is a master plan here that says this property is
supposed to remain a golf course or green space.” [Palm
