Former real estate guru and radio host Anthony Cutaia has been charged
with running a Ponzi scheme. The charges, filed in federal court on
Friday, allege that Cutaia, a Boca Raton resident, used his WSBR radio
show to sell fraudulent investments in a real estate scheme. Cutaia’s
show was called “Talk About Mortgages and Real Estate.” He could face as
many as 20 years in prison, along with three years of probation and a
$250,000 fine. Given that he was charged with an information, however,
he may have negotiated a deal with prosecutors. [SFBJ]
