Slight sales jump for Broward, big increase for Palm Beach County

Sales of existing homes in Broward County were up 6 percent from May
2010, according to a report from Florida Realtors. There were a total of
1,142 residential sales in Broward County last month, along with 1,115
in Palm Beach County. The latter represented a 26 percent increase. May
was the third consecutive month in which both counties sold more than
1,000 homes. Prices did not fare as well, however, with Broward County’s
median price falling 17 percent and Palm Beach County’s median price
