Florida Power and Light has purchased a 75-acre parcel of land in Palm
Beach Gardens for $24 million, according to a deed filed yesterday in Palm
Beach County Circuit Court. The closed transaction, which the Palm Beach
Post reported, involved seller BR West, a limited liability company
operated by Seacoast National Bank in Stuart, which lists Kevin Picart
as its managing member. Picart is Seacoast’s senior vice president.
According to the deed, the property is located east of I-95 and north of
PGA Boulevard, just west of the right-of-way line of the Florida East
Coast Railroad. That site, the Post said, is near the Gardens Mall. — Alexander Britell
