The owner of the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach is suing Ritz-Carlton for alleged mismanagement, according to a lawsuit filed this week. Owner Lewis Trust Group, formed by the London-based Lewis family, alleges that the brand both mismanaged the property and allowed costs to spiral out of control. Company representatives said Ritz-Carlton and parent company Marriott “strongly disagree[d]” with the complaint. “It will be business as usual,” spokesperson Vivian Deuschl said. “And any litigation wouldn’t have any impact on guests at the hotel or how the hotel is operated.” The hotel should not be confused with the Ritz-Carlton Residences Palm Beach, a residential property on Singer Island.
