Wellington demand leads to construction plans

Increased demand for apartments in Wellington has led the owners of the
Mall at Wellington Green to begin construction on a new complex. The
project, which is predicted to be a high-end rental community with 40
units, won approval from the village to build even more units than had
initially been planned. “Rental demand has absolutely gone up, no
question about that,” said Laura Pearlman, a rental specialist at
Signature Service Realty in West Palm Beach. According to village
Planning and Zoning Manager David Flinchum, there have been several
other inquiries about vacant land in the village in recent months. [Palm
