A $4.5 million renovation of the facade at the Palm Beach Synagogue is
almost complete. The renovation, which was designed by architect Arthur
Chabon, also included fixing the roof line and re-facing the building’s
exterior brickwork. It is on track to be finished by September,
according to Michelle Stein, the synagogue’s treasurer. “I like to be a
part of things that are growing and vibrant, and watching the synagogue
grow has been such a pleasure,” she said. The synagogue originally
started with one building on North County Road, and, because it expanded
by purchasing adjacent buildings, it created three different facades. [Palm
