Andrew Spark, an assistant attorney general in Tampa, resigned after a
memo he wrote blasting his office, was released. Spark, who works in the
Economic Crimes Division, mentioned concerns he had about several issues
with the office, including the departure of former staffer Joe Jacquot,
who left to work with Lender Processing Services, which is under
investigation by the state. “The people of the State of Florida are
entitled to fair and honest government,” he said in the memo. According
to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Spark was under investigation for using
the services of a business that he was himself investigating. [Palm
