Boca Raton-based developer the Rosen Group has purchased a shopping center in Holly Springs, N.C. from Raleigh retail honchos Bob Hughes and Jeffrey Baran for $12.8 million, according to the South Florida Business Journal.

The Sunset Lake Commons shopping mall was built by Hughes and Baran in 2005. The 86,000-square-foot space is anchored by a Harris Teeter grocery store. Other tenants include Wachovia bank.

The Rosen Group also owns the Willow Creek shopping center in Carrboro and 17 other retail shopping centers in other regions of North Carolina, the Journal said. [SFBJ]
