More than 8,000 new real estate licenses have been issued this year, according to the state Department of Business and Professional Regulation. “Every one of our orientation classes is full,” said Jack Levine, board chairman for the Miami Association of Realtors. Licenses fell from to 10,435 in 2008 from 47,000 in 2005, but more and more people are looking to get into industry as of late. “We hit bottom in around August 2008 and we’ve been building since then,” said Teresa King Kinney, CEO of the Miami Association of Realtors. “We’ve had 400 new members come in just in the last four months.”[Miami Today]
