The Palm Beach Dramaworks group is naming its new downtown West Palm Beach theater the Donald and Ann Brown Theatre, after the real estate attorney and his wife, who donated $2 million to the facility.
The endowment will be used towards a new facility with a reconfigured auditorium chamber that seats 218, multi-use black box theater space, a new lobby, new administration offices and a costume shop. It will be designed by Zeidler Architects and will officially open at 11 Clematis Street Nov. 11.
Brown is one of the founders of law firm Brown, Gildenhorn & Jacobs and also JBG Real Estate Companies. Brown also taught real estate courses at Harvard, Columbia and Yale, and was certified as a mediator of dispute in Florida Courts. [Broadway World]
