In celebration of Park(ing) Day, a national initiative that aims to put more green space in parking lots, two landscape designers transformed a metered parking space in Fort Lauderdale into a small artificial grass yard with potted plants, tables and chairs. According to the Sun Sentinel, the park, which is open to the public, is in a parking spot just off Southeast 2nd Street near the Bank of America Building. More Park(ing) Day observers could be bringing green to parking lots across South Florida, CBS Miami said. [Sun Sentinel] and [CBS Miami]
