Thompson Hotels acquires Hotel Victor

Jason Pomeranc‘s Thompson Hotels company has acquired the Hotel Victor in Miami and will rebrand it Thompson Ocean Drive, HotelChatter reported. The hotel, at 1144 Ocean Drive in South Beach, will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation in both its rooms and public space.

“We are elated to bring Thompson Hotels to Miami, and look forward to introducing the Thompson nuances of style and service to the market,” said Stephen Brandman, co-owner of Thompson Hotels.

Thompson has been busy expanding its brand elsewhere in the country, especially in New York City, since exiting the Sagamore Hotel. Hotel Victor was previously run by Hyatt. [Hotel Chatter]
