Palm Beach’s Mac and Kourtney Pulitzer building a hotel in Alabama

Palm Beach’s Kourtney Pulitzer, who owns retail shops in Lake Worth and
West Palm Beach, is opening a 40-room, three-story Pulitzer Hotel in
Alabama with husband Mac Pulitzer. Mac is the great-grandson of
publisher Joseph Pulitzer. According to Mac, he has started work on a
Pulitzer Library in the hotel’s lobby aimed at honoring his forebear,
who is best known for posthumously establishing the Pulitzer Prize. “I
was surprised that there was no dedicated Pulitzer Library, so I talked
to Columbia University people,” he said. “Then I trademarked the name
Pulitzer Library, and we are off and running.” [Palm
