PBC sixth in nation for mortgage fraud

Palm Beach County has the sixth-highest rate of mortgage fraud in the
nation, according to a report from the Financial Crimes Enforcement
Network, an agency of the Treasury Department. The county, which had
been ranked 31st, jumped ahead of both Broward and Miami-Dade Counties,
which were ranked eighth and ninth, respectively. “If you’re a cop
investigating this stuff, this is like gravy,” said Michael Sichenzia,
president of Dynamic Consulting in Coral Springs. “They’re going to go
out there and do their job because there is a mandate to get to the
bottom of this, and someone is going to pay.” Florida had the
