A fire at the Coral Ridge Country Club in Fort Lauderdale has caused
approximately $1.5 million in damage. One firefighter was reportedly
hurt in the blaze, which occurred just before 3 o’clock in the morning.
The fire’s cause remains under investigation. A 3,000-square-foot
building was “fully engulfed in flames,” according to Matt Little, a
spokesperson for Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue. The club, which opened in
1955, includes a Robert Trent Jones, Sr. golf course. [Miami
