218 Clematis StreetFive finalists have been selected in the Great Shop Showdown, a contest whose winner gets a year of free rent to open a business in a vacant space on Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
The contest, organized by the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority, wants to select a winner by December. The winner will sign a five-year lease at 218 Clematis Street, one year of which is rent free, get advertising and marketing help, consulting and access to a loan.
The finalists include Leandro’s Boutique and Custom Leathers, a leather store with an in-house workshop; Career Moves, a clothing store for “career-driven women”; Something Borrowed Something New, a bridal and gown boutique; Tora’s Boutique Shoes and Accessories, a woman’s wear shop; and finally, a wedding consignment shop.
