Jones Lang LaSalle’s Donald Cartwright and the Southeast Financial CenterThanks to a pair of lease renewals, the Southeast Financial Center will continue to hold on to its title as the legal hub of South Florida for the foreseeable future. International law firm Morgan, Lewis & Bockius and local firm Bercow Radell & Fernandez have re-upped at the 1.16 million-square-foot tower, for 33,589 and 5,800 square feet, respectively, according to Donald Carwright, senior vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle and the leasing agent for the property.
There are now 12 legal tenants in the building, located at 200 S. Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami. Last month, McDonald Hopkins signed on for 3,900 square feet of space, and in July Cozen O’Connor doubled its space in the state’s tallest office tower. White & Case and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan already call the building home.
As The Real Deal previously reported, the tower is undergoing renovations to its lobbies. Approximately 1 million square feet are occupied in the building. — Adam Fusfeld
