An Aldi supermarket
Aldi, a supermarket chain that entered the South Florida market in 2008,
is looking at building a 500,000-square-foot distribution center in
Palm Beach County, the Sun Sentinel reports. “It’s not a done deal,”
said Kelly Smallridge, president of Palm Beach County’s Business
Development Board. “We have a site we’re competing with, and I have a
whole laundry list of remaining items.” The project would come in at an
estimated cost of $43 million, with the potential to expand to 800,000
square feet. The company runs a total of 1,100 stores across the United
States. [Sun
