The 1.5 million-square-foot Omni Center in Miami is set for auction,
following a $221 million foreclosure judgment against the property,
according to the South Florida Business Journal. The Genting Group could
follow up on its large-scale casino plans if it wins the auction.
Argent Ventures, a New York-based firm, agreed to the judgment based on a
$204 million mortgage on which it had defaulted. If no bidder exceeds
that amount, Genting would take title to the property. [SFBJ]
