Miami-Dade County Public Schools is considering selling 10.5 acres of land it owns just west of the Omni International Mall in Miami, the South Florida Business Journal reported.
Before moving forward though, the agency is soliciting proposals from developers that are due Dec. 1. One developer, Mark Siffin, had previously told the school system he’d like to build a parking complex with large electronic billboards on some of its land.
Genting Group, which is behind the Resorts World Miami planned nearby, and Spanish real estate firm Inmobiliaria Espacio are also interested in the site. It’s currently occupied by the school system’s headquarters and two public schools. [SFBJ]
