City Furniture is doubling its top store, along with adding three new
locations in South Florida, according to the Miami Herald. “It’s a good
time for us,” said President Keith Koenig. “Like many other businesses,
we put some projects on the back burner while the marketplace was
tightening up.” The $17.5 million expansion plan will mean a $3.5
million renovation on the company’s Dadeland store, along with new
branches in Cutler Bay, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. City Furniture’s Dadeland branch is actually the Tamarac-based company’s
most profitable location. During the
Dadeland renovation, the company will work out of a store in Pinecrest. [Miami
