An outpost of Manhattan’s Philippe restaurant is moving to Miami Beach next month, the New York Post reported. Chef Stratis Morfogen partnered with pharmaceutical billionaire Stewart Rahr, New York Knicks player Chauncey Billups and retired Miami Heat all-star Alonzo Morning to bring a 5,000-square-foot version of the Upper East Side staple to 36 Ocean Drive, in the old Opa Taverna space. The restaurant will have 185 seats inside, 35 outside and an additional private wine room. There’s an additional Florida location in Boca Raton. [Post, 2nd item]
