Donald Trump’s Trump International building near Columbus Circle is about to be the star of a crime comedy called “Tower Heist” directed by Brett Ratner and featuring Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, Matthew Broderick and Alan Alda, among others (see video above). The film, slated for release Nov. 4, follows a group of Trump International employees who scheme to steal $20 million from a Wall Street businessman who lives in the building’s penthouse and engineered a Ponzi scheme that lost their pensions. Though the movie doesn’t mention Trump at all — the building is simply referred to as “the tower” — it does say the average price of an apartment in the building is $5.6 million, which jives with the $3,510 average price per square foot on sales in the building, according to Streeteasy.com.
