SLS South Beach to open in April

Hotelier Sam Nazarian’s long-anticipated SLS South Beach hotel will open
in April, featuring designs from Philippe Starck. The hotel will also
feature chef Jose Andres’ Bazaar restaurant, which will have its own
accompanying food truck at the pool. Rocker-turned-designer Lenny
Kravitz is set to design several units, including a poolside bungalow
and a penthouse suite at the hotel. It is the site of the former Ritz
Plaza hotel on Collins Avenue. Also coming to the 132-room hotel
will be a Hyde Beach lounge and a Katsyua sushi restaurant. [Hotel
