Two sentenced in South Florida mortgage scheme

A loan officer and a title agent have been sentenced for their role in a
$2.5 million reverse mortgage and loan modification scheme, U.S.
Attorney Wifredo Ferrer announced today. Kimberly Mackey, a Pittsburgh
resident, and Marcos Echevarria of Palm Beach were sentenced before
Judge William Dimitrouleas. Echevarria was sentenced to 24 months in
prison, while Mackey was sentenced to five years in prison, with another
five of supervised release. The two defendants had previously pled
guilty to charges of one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud as
part of the scheme. — Alexander
