Turkey Point getting $1B overhaul

Homestead’s Turkey Point nuclear plant is getting a $1 billion upgrade,
according to the Miami Herald. The overhaul is aimed at drawing more
energy from the plant’s existing reactors, with additional improvements
to safety and efficiency. “It’s going to be virtually a brand new
secondary plant that will produce 15 percent more electricity,” said
