Epic in Miami

Downtown Miami is dominated by young professionals, who have filled up
the city in the years since the condominium bust. According to data from the
Downtown Development Authority, 57 percent of residents in the downtown
area are between 20 and 44 years old, with a higher income than the rest
of the city and county. “The influx of new residents is transforming
the area into a 24-7 urban community and having a ripple effect by
attracting additional investments to the area,” said Alyce Robertson,
executive director of the DDA, in a statement. According to the report, 65
percent of downtown residents who are employed works as professionals. [SFBJ]
