Tony Goldman’s well-documented vision for Miami’s industrial Wynwood
neighborhood
is still strong, as the man who helped revitalize
Soho and South Beach is trying to do the same in downtown Miami. “I need to be in
love to sustain the relationship,” he said. “And [Wynwood] is the great
pedestrian neighborhood of the future.” It’s a feeling Goldman said
reminds him of his first trip to South Beach in the 1980s. “I went down
and hit Ocean Drive. That was it for me — that was the moment,” he
said. “By the time I hit Sixth Street, I was out of the car, my heart
was pumping. I was in love right there.” [Miami
