Broward County Commissioner Stacy Ritter admitted to violating state election law by not disclosing campaign contributions from developer George Rahael, the Sun-Sentinel reported. Ritter has been under investigation for several alleged violations involving campaign money.
Rahael and business partner Charlie Ladd exceeded campaign contribution
limits by donating the maximum amount under at least 11 different
corporation names. Ritter agreed to pay $8,300 in fines.
Ritter said the complaint was followed by an opponent of the proposed expansion of the Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport, which Ritter favored. [Sun-Sentinel]
