Homewise Insurance policy holders left to find new carrier

Tampa-based Homewise Insurance, Palm Beach County’s sixth largest home insurer, has been ordered into liquidation leaving property owners insured with the company to find another carrier, the Palm Beach Post reported.

Homewise policies will automatically be picked up by Homeowners’ Choice Property & Casualty Insurance, unless they choose another carrier by Dec. 7.

The insurer carried about 10,000 policies in Palm Beach County and more than 60,000 statewide. [Palm Beach Post]
