LA Fitness takes over 13 Bally locations in South Florida
LA Fitness has bought 171 Bally fitness clubs nationwide for $153
million, including 13 in South Florida, according to the South Florida
Business Journal. The move is part of a downsizing for Bally, which is
in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Two former Bally locations, in North Miami
Beach and Coral Springs, will likely close, according to a receptionist.
LA Fitness’ South Florida presence has now grown to 40 locations in the
tri-county area. [SFBJ]
