A program that gives homeowners as much as $20,000 if they short sell
their homes has been extended by Bank of America. “As this is a pilot
program, it remains to be seen what the pull-through success rate and
test-and-learn outcome will be,” said Jumana Bauwens, a spokesperson for
Bank of America. Bauwens said 20,000 Florida homeowners were contacted
by the bank for the pilot project. The short sale program was due to
expire on Nov. 30, but has now been stretched to Dec. 12. [Palm
