Florida banks among worst in U.S.

More than 37 percent of Florida banks are either “troubled” or
“problematic,” according to safety ratings from Coral Gables-based
BauerFinancial, the Palm Beach Post reported. That is the second-highest
percentage of troubled banks of any state in the country, and the
lowest rate of healthy banks. The ratings firm did say Florida banks
were showing signs of improvement, however, with a higher percentage of
