Palm Beach County’s Property Appraiser’s office is more popular than
ever, thanks to a change in the way the office’s contact information is
displayed on the back of tax bills, according to the Palm Beach Post. “We do a lot of mailings every year and you have to be careful,” said
Assistant Property Appraiser Dorothy Jacks. “The public flips the bill
over. They look for the first number they see and then they call it.”
The office saw a 70 percent increase in the number of calls it received
last month, with the office’s number displayed prominently at the top of
the page. [Palm
