Investors file lawsuit over bed bugs at West Palm Beach apartment complex

More than a quarter of units at the Palo Verde apartment complex in West
Palm Beach were infested with bed bugs when a buyer purchased the
complex earlier this year, according to a lawsuit filed in Palm Beach
County Circuit Court by a Miami investment group. The suit charges that
when it paid $11.25 million for the property in January, it was overrun
with bed bugs. “The property manager said it looked like a war zone with
blood spots everywhere,” said Robert Stok, the lawyer for Palo Verde
Investors. “The exterminator said it was the worst infestation they’d
ever seen.” [Palm
