Foreclosures continue to rise in South Florida ahead of last year’s pace, according to data from Condo Vultures. This week there were 653 foreclosures in the three counties, 243 more than were recorded during the same week last year. There have already been 1,969 foreclosures in South Florida this year, 543 more than there were during the first three weeks of 2011. Much of the increase can be attributed to Miami-Dade and Broward counties, whereas Palm Beach County is just slightly ahead of last year’s pace. — Adam Fusfeld
