Broward broker sentenced in fraud scheme

Pembroke Pines mortgage broker Marlon Baugh has been sentenced for his role in a fraud scheme, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida Wifredo Ferrer announced Monday. Baugh was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for mail fraud in connection with a mortgage fraud scheme that targeted those looking for loan modifications. Baugh and others fraudulently caused properties to be bought and sold through straw buyers. He had previously pled guilty to one count of mail fraud. — Alexander Britell
