Law firm DLA Piper signs long-term lease at Southeast Financial Center

Law firm DLA Piper has leased the entire floor at the Southeast Financial Center in downtown Miami, GlobeSt reported. The 22,567-square-foot lease is a long-term extension of a one-year lease and brings the building to 84 percent occupancy. “DLA Piper leased the entire 23rd floor ‘as is’ for one year commencing in March 2011,” said Donald Cartwright, senior vice president with Jones Lang LaSalle, which handled the deal. “This allowed them to become operational and recruit new attorneys while they evaluated all of their space options in the market.” The 1.2 million-square-foot tower now has four of the top 25 law firms in the world, according to Cartwright.
