Foreclosures continue to occur more frequently in South Florida than they did last year. There have been 4,154 foreclosures filed through Feb. 10, 907 more than were recorded in the tri-county area during the first six weeks of 2011. The last week accounts for about one-third of that difference, as 760 foreclosures were filed this week, compared to 446 during the same week a year ago. While foreclosure numbers haven’t changed much in Palm Beach County, they have risen substantially in Miami-Dade and Broward counties. — Adam Fusfeld
