Minto begins next phase of PortoSol project

The PortoSol housing project in Royal Palm Beach will begin its next phase as part of a slow rollout by developer Minto Communities, the Palm Beach Post reported. “I guess this is what you have to do to survive the market,” said Royal Palm Beach Councilman Fred Pinto. “We do want you to survive.” The project, which is located north of Okeechobee Boulevard, already has 150 homes that have been built of a planned 499-home development. It has now received approval to divide the next phase of construction into three smaller portions. “It’s just a marketing move to jive in with the downtrend of the housing market,” said Mayor Matty Mattioli. “Hopefully you’ll sell some houses later.” [Palm Beach Post]
