Defortuna gets $5 million mortgage on Key Biscayne home, site of Winter White House under Nixon

Fortune International President and CEO Edgardo Defortuna obtained a $5 million mortgage on his new Key Biscayne home, the South Florida Business Journal reported. The home is on the former site of the Winter White House under President Richard Nixon, who often retreated to the island. That property was demolished in 2004 by Defortuna, who completed the new 21,504-square-foot home through a limited liability corporation that ultimately deeded him and his wife Ana Cristina the property. According to Miami-Dade County records, the home, which is located at 500 Bay Lane, has a value of $10.1 million. [SFBJ]
